Jasmine S Cane

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Marine Science at the University of Otago in 2020, Jasmine developed field and laboratory experience through summer projects on thermal adaptation in a Antarctic sea star, and eDNA retention in filter feeders. In 2021 Jasmine moved to Australia and began her MPhil at JCU under the supervision of Jennifer Donelson (JCU) and Andrew Hoey (JCU). Her masters project investigates if the thermal experience of previous generations influences the performance of juvenile coral reef damselfish Acanthochromis polyacanthus.
