Lenore Litherland
I am passionate about the sustainable use of our natural resources. As a fisheries Scientist, my research is focused on wild harvest fisheries in Queensland -- developing and managing scientific monitoring programs that collect biological data from recreational and commercial fisheries. This work informs the sustainability status of our fish stocks.
Throughout my career, I have held positions on the executive committees of the Oceania Chondrichthyan Society (Newsletter Editor) and the Australian Society for Fish Biology (Treasurer). I also enjoy mentoring and supervising students and early-career scientists.
Concurrent with my marine research I co-manage the 50 ha Lacebark Nature Refuge, promoting sustainable land management and biodiversity conservation in rural Queensland.
